Hudspeth County covers 4,566 square miles of terrain in the Rio Grande basin in west Texas that varies from mountainous to nearly level with elevations ranging from 3,200 to 7,500 feet above sea level. With only about 8 inches of precipitation per year, a summer high of 95 degrees and mild winter temperatures, Hudspeth county residents enjoy sun about 300 days of the year.

Location

To get to the lots in La Hacienda Estates from El Paso, take 62/180 east, approx. 47 miles to 2317. Turn south and go 4  miles to the property which is to the west. Cornudas is 4 miles away to the east on highway 62/180. Sierra Blanca is 38 miles south  on 1111, and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park is 40 miles to the east.

La Hacienda Estates is a platted subdivision that has not yet been developed so you are getting in on the ground floor. The town of Cornudas is close by and you are less than an hour from El Paso. And just north, across the state line in Truth or Consequences, NM, is the new Virgin Galactic Spaceport for those who really want to get away.

Summary

We believe this area to be an excellent medium term investment. According to City-Data.com, El Paso has grown nearly 20% since 2000 and with Mexico to the south and west and the state of New Mexico to the north, it really has nowhere to expand except east towards La Hacienda Estates.

And don’t forget the Virgin Galactic spaceport to the north or the growing trade with Mexico following NAFTA. Property price are also inexpensive right now which is fueling growth as well but as we continue in the latest up cycle in real estate following the great recession that will change.
