SOLD! Bandera County, is located on the Edwards plateau in the state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 20,485. The county seat is the city of Bandera. Bandera County is part of the San Antonio metropolitan area.

Lakehills, where the property is located, is in SE Bandera county, near San Antonio. The population was 5,839, as of the 2010 census, making it the most populous place in Bandera county. Lakehills is 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Bandera and 30 miles (48 km) west of Downtown San Antonio on Medina Lake.

Medina Lake is best known among fishermen for its large yellow catfish.  Man-made Medina Lake’s 4,246-acres of clear water, sheltered by hills and limestone bluffs, are also a haven for SCUBA divers.

Lakehills is also bounded to the west by Bandera County Park, also on Medina Lake. A Texas State Park until the 1970s or so, Bandera County Park comprises 5,575 acres and is a popular retreat for fishing, boating, picnicking and water sports.

Located on the lake’s Plum Creek Cove, the park’s facilities include a boat ramp, swimming area and restrooms. Although there is no camping in Medina Lake County Park, there are a number of private guest cabins, guest ranches and private campgrounds in the vicinity of the lake.

Lakehills is on a large peninsula surrounded by Medina Lake. Within Lakehills is the community of Avalon where the property is located. The sparsely wooded lots here are gradually being developed. And with their location so close to San Antonio and surrounded by such a beautiful lake, they won’t be at this price for long. Now is the time to buy!

The property itself is actually comprised of two parcels. Should 10th St. W continue past Av. F, the property would begin in about another 160′ on the north side of the road (see map below).
